Losita contains Escitalopram, a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) that increases the amount of serotonin in the brain, which helps improve mood and reduce anxiety.

✔️ Dosage & Administration of Losita 5mg Tablet

• Major depressive episodes: Start with 10 mg once daily, which may be increased to a maximum of 20 mg daily based on patient response.
• Panic disorder: Start with 5 mg once daily for the first week, then increase to 10 mg daily. The dose may be further increased to a maximum of 20 mg daily based on response.
• Social anxiety disorder: Start with 10 mg once daily, which may be adjusted between 5 mg and 20 mg based on patient response.
• Generalized anxiety disorder: Start with 10 mg once daily, which may be increased to a maximum of 20 mg daily based on response.
• Obsessive-compulsive disorder: Start with 10 mg once daily, which may be increased to a maximum of 20 mg daily based on response.

Losita should be taken once daily, either in the morning or evening, with or without food.

Disease Interactions

Seizure Disorders:

• Losita 5mg Tablet should be used with caution if you have a history of seizures, as it may increase the risk of triggering seizures.

Impaired Kidney Function:

• If you have kidney problems, use Losita 5mg Tablet cautiously. Close monitoring of kidney functions is necessary to prevent potential worsening of your condition.

Impaired Liver Function:

• Use Losita 5mg Tablet with caution if you have liver problems. The medication is metabolized in the liver, and impaired liver function can lead to its accumulation, causing unwanted side effects. Regular liver function tests are recommended during treatment.
